Visual and Sound Play (VSP)

VSP (Visual and Sound Play) for Level 1, Semester 1 (Weeks 1–8) of the Creche Program.

Subject Area: VSP – Visual and Sound Play  

Goal: To stimulate sensory perception through colorful visuals, reflective materials, sound-object interaction, and audio-spatial play, building early recognition, curiosity, and cognitive development.

Curriculum Structure per Day (Suggested Rotation):

- Visual Focus Play: (Bright colors, mirrors, shadow play)

- Sound Focus Play: (Shakers, bells, soft drums, water sounds, crinkle toys)

- Integrated Play: (Responding to visual + sound stimuli together)

- Calm-down Visuals: (Light projectors, gentle flowing lights, quiet visuals)

Semester 1: Weeks 1–8

Week 1: Primary Color Discovery

- Visual Play: Red, Blue & Yellow Object Exploration

- Sound Play: Soft Shakers & Jingle Bells

- Integrated: Color-to-sound matching game (red = bell, blue = drum, etc.)

- Calm Visual: Spinning red-blue-yellow pinwheel

Week 2: Mirrors & Faces

- Visual Play: Baby-safe Mirrors (face mimicry)

- Sound Play: Animal Sound Toys (cow, duck, sheep)

- Integrated: Mirror + animal sounds ("Who’s mooing?")

- Calm Visual: Gentle light projections on ceiling

Week 3: Shapes & Sound

Visual Play: Circles, Squares, Triangles on flashcards

-Sound Play: Tapping wood blocks & egg shakers

-Integrated: Shape-sound rhythm tap

-Calm Visual: Floating bubble visuals

Week 4: Nature Colors & Sounds

- Visual Play: Green leaves, sky blue cloths, water ripple images

- Sound Play: Rainstick, water-drop sounds, wind chimes

- Integrated: Nature tableau: See the green, hear the breeze

- Calm Visual: Simulated leaf shadows

Week 5: Textures & Sound

- Visual Play: Furry, bumpy, smooth, shiny object bags

- Sound Play: Crinkle toys, tambourines

- Integrated: Feel & Hear bag (pick, touch, shake)

- Calm Visual: Silk fabric waving

Week 6: Animal World

- Visual Play: Picture cards – jungle & farm animals

- Sound Play: Matching animal soundboard

- Integrated: Call & Show: “Moo!” – point to cow

- Calm Visual: Animated fish bowl visual

Week 7: Light & Glow

- Visual Play: Glow sticks, soft flashlights

- Sound Play: Low chimes, xylophone glissandos

- Integrated: Light + sound touch reaction table

- Calm Visual: Starry night projection

Week 8: Music Toy Week

- Visual Play: Toy drum sets, toy guitars, mini keyboards

- Sound Play: Explore each toy’s sound

- Integrated: “Mini concert” – respond to any sound with claps

- Calm Visual: Rainbow light spinner
