VSP—Visual And Sound Play 6

VSP (Visual and Sound Play) Level 6 Curriculum for Ages 23–26 Months, covering Weeks 1–16.

First Semester: Weeks 1–8

Focus: Enhanced sensory response, color/shapes identification, sound differentiation, and cause-effect exploration.

Week 1: “Red, Yellow, Blue”

- Activity: Color sorting with felt shapes  

- Sound: Gentle chime when color is matched  

- Objective: Basic color recognition + attention to sound cues

Week 2: “Flash & Tap”

- Activity: Light-up tap boards  

- Sound: Each tap plays a unique tone  

- Objective: Visual-sound coordination

Week 3: “What’s That Sound?”

- Activity: Hidden object sound guessing (e.g., bells, maracas)  

- Objective: Sound identification and memory tracking

Week 4: “Shiny Things”

- Activity: Light reflection play with mirrors, foil, disco balls  

- Objective: Eye tracking and light interaction

Week 5: “Rainy Day Sounds”

- Activity: Simulate rain, thunder, water drip with sound toys  

- Visuals: Blue lights and mist effects  

- Objective: Relating visuals to environmental sounds

Week 6: “Light Parade”

- Activity: Follow the moving light (torchlight + soft music)  

- Objective: Visual tracking and auditory follow-through

Week 7: “Up, Down, Fast, Slow”

- Activity: Moving objects in rhythm to tempo music  

- Props: Balls, toy cars, scarves  

- Objective: Perception of speed and direction

Week 8: Review Week: “Color + Sound Discovery Maze”

- Mini stations with light/sound combinations  

- Objective: Reinforce cause-effect and sensory response

Focus: Multi-sensory integration, pattern recognition, and rhythm awareness.

Week 9: “Peekaboo Lightbox” 

- Activity: Open/close flaps with light bursts and gentle sounds  

- Objective: Anticipation and surprise in sensory exploration

Week 10: “Animal Sounds & Shapes”

- Activity: Shape-matching + animal sound buttons  

- Objective: Link sound, shape, and identity

Week 11: “Rolling Colors”

- Activity: Colored balls in light tunnels  

- Sound: Music shifts with each ball movement  

- Objective: Motion-sound matching  

Week 12: “Soft & Loud”

- Activity: Contrast sound volumes using percussion and recordings  

- Visuals: Bright vs dim lighting  

- Objective: Auditory discrimination

Week 13: “Glow & Go” 

- Activity: Move and freeze when lights change color  

- Sound: Beat cues to initiate motion  

- Objective: Coordination through sensory cues

Week 14: “My Soundboard”

- Activity: DIY sound creation — tap, shake, rub  

- Objective: Child-led sound play

Week 15: “See My Music”

- Activity: Explore music-reactive lights

Week 16: VSP Showcase Week

- Stations with student-favorite light & sound tools
