Perfect Pitch Development Curriculum 4

PPD (Perfect Pitch Development) – Level 4 Curriculum

Age Group: Approx. 19–22 months  

Focus: Strengthening auditory distinction, pitch memory, and interval familiarity using tonal games, vocal imitation, and instrument cues.

Each week includes 4 sessions, following a structure of 16 weeks per level (8 per semester).

Semester 1: Weeks 1–8

Week 1:

- Tone ID: High vs Low (with color-coded bells)  

- Echo Clapping (simple pitch echoing using voice)  

- Sound Matching Game (matching animal sounds to images)  

- Vocal Slide Exercises (la-la-la upward/downward)

Week 2:

- Solfege Intro: Do–Re–Mi (singing with hand signs)  

- Keyboard Call & Response (middle C and G)  

- Pitch Coloring (coloring activities tied to tone)  

- Instrument Identification (bell, shaker, drum)

Week 3:

- Pitch Pattern Recognition (2-note melodies)  

- Vocal Echo (C–E–G vocal patterns)  

- Listening Walk (identifying surrounding tonal sounds)  

- Bell Matching Game

Week 4:

- Note Holding (sustain pitch with voice)  

- Solfege Singing (Do–Mi–So combinations)  

- Percussion & Pitch (drum beat + pitch call)  

- Tone Imitation (mimicking piano note vocalizations)

Week 5:

- Simple Interval Play (Do–Re, Do–Mi)  

- Identify the Sound (Guess piano or voice tone)

- Vocal Movement (sing pitch while moving high/low)  

- Echo Singing Phrases

Week 6:  

- Pitch Matching Challenge (two instruments, pick matching tone)  

- Intro to Minor vs Major (Happy vs Sad sounds)  

- Solfege Games (flashcards + singing)  

- Rhythm & Pitch Combo (clap then sing)

Week 7:

- Object Pitch Sorting (toys with tonal sounds)  

- Keyboard Sound Chase (follow notes on keyboard)  

- Recognize the Melody (short familiar tune)  

- Movement to Pitch (up/down stairs per tone)

Week 8: 

- Solfege Reinforcement (Do–Re–Mi–Fa)  

- Build-a-Melody Game (arrange tone cards in sequence)  

- Vocal Pitch Ladder (ascending scale)  

- Ear Challenge (Guess tone: high, mid, low)

Semester 2: Weeks 9–16

Week 9:

- Do–Mi–So Singing with Hand Signs  

- Match My Sound (vocal pitch mimicking game)  

- Keyboard Imitation Play  

- Tone Freeze Game (freeze on hearing specific pitch)

Week 10:

- High–Mid–Low Sorting  

- Solfege Steps on Floor Tiles (sing while stepping Do to So)  

- Tone Trail with Xylophone  

- Story Time with Pitch Prompts (raise/lower voice with plot)

Week 11: 

- Interval Game: Small vs Wide Jumps  

- Tone Chasing with Instruments  

- Echo Pattern Chain (repeat increasing tones)  

- Melody Puzzles (fill in missing tone)

Week 12:

- Explore Minor Scale  

- Sing & Sign with Puppet  

- Call-Back Singing (teacher leads, child replies)  

- Identify Sound Source (guess: piano, bell, shaker)

Week 13:  

- Vocal Games: Pitch Hide & Seek  

- Partner Echo Singing  

- Introduction to Tempo & Pitch Together  

- Tone Name Repetition (Do–Mi–So call and response)

Week 14: 

- Recognize Simple Song by Pitch (Twinkle, etc.)  

- Interval Match Cards  

- Follow-the-Tone Game  

- Voice Instrument Mimicry

Week 15:  

- Pitch Parade (singing walk with pitch flags)  

- Rest-Tone Identification (recognizing tonic note)  

- Group Sing-Along with Solfege Direction  

- Interactive Sound Stories

Week 16: 

- Cumulative Assessment:
