Semester 1 & 2 (Weeks 1–16)

Focus: Further strengthen tonal recognition, early solfège, and sound imitation through structured listening, repetition, and tonal play.

Semester 1: Weeks 1–8

Week 1

-Vocal Play: Echo humming of C note (Mama/Caregiver models)

-Tone Discrimination: High vs Low tones (C & G)

-Instrumental Demo: C-G-C progression on Glockenspiel

-Listening Cue: “Do–Re–Mi” (Sound of Music) – Short Clip

Week 2

- Pitch Matching Game: Clap or tap when two same tones are played

- Vocal Repeat: Matching C–D–E (ascending) hums

- Instrumental Cue: C major chord broken notes

- Listening: Twinkle Twinkle (focus on first three tones)

Week 3

- Solfège Introduction: Sing “Do – Re – Mi” with actions

- Tonal Echo: Call and response with Do-Mi-Sol

- Pitch Sorting: Match toy bell sounds by tone

- Listening: Mozart’s “Ah Vous Dirai-Je Maman” (basis of Twinkle)

Week 4

- Vocal Movement: Move body with pitch rise and fall (arms up/down)

- Interval Fun: Clap to C–E and C–G

- Instrumental Play: Play middle C with caregiver assist

- Listening Cue: Fur Elise intro melody (Soft version)

Week 5

- Echo Tones: Caregiver sings Do-Do–Re-Do; Child repeats

- Pitch Direction Game: “Up or Down?” call and answer

- Mini Tone Puzzle: Identify 2 out of 3 matching tones

- Listening Cue: Pentatonic lullaby (e.g., Chinese folk lullaby)

Week 6

- Pitch Emotion Matching: Happy = High, Sad = Low tones

- Vocal Glide: Humming ascending and descending tones

- Tone Grouping: Bells grouped into bright/dull tones

- Listening: “Jesus Loves Me” – Melodic focus

Week 7

- Solfège Practice: Add “Fa – Sol” to “Do–Re–Mi”

- Pitch Drawing: Line goes up/down as pitch rises/falls (caregiver-assisted)

- Instrument Exploration: in Touch & respond to C–D–E

- Listening: Live piano piece with varied dynamics

Week 8

- Review & Reinforce: All solfège sung slowly

- Pitch Freeze Game: Freeze when C note sounds

- Tonal Recognition: Pick tone played from group of 3

- Listening: Short melody excerpt from Haydn Surprise Symphony

Semester 2: Weeks 9–16

Week 9

- Tone Echo: Add “La–Ti” to full major scale

- Pitch Motion: Use shakers to rise/fall with pitch

- Instrumental Matching: Repeat tone played on xylophone

- Listening: Vocal warmups with Solfège choir

Week 10

- Pitch Bubbles Game: Pop the right pitch when heard (visual cue)

- Scale Sing-Along: Do to Do scale up & down

- Tone Color Match: Color cards linked to tones

- Listening: Beethoven Bagatelle (recognize repeated notes)

Week 11

- Solfège Ladder Game: Jump steps = pitch intervals

- Imitation Game: Teacher hums a 3-tone melody to match

- Percussion Integration: Match pitch with rhythmic tapping

- Listening: Praise & Worship: “My God is So Big” melody focus

Week 12

- Identify the Odd Tone: 3-tone sequence; which one is different?

- High-Low Stretch: Reach high/low with tone

- Call & Response: “Sol-Mi-Do” pattern

- Listening: Live voice singing simple arpeggios

Week 13

- Solo Pitch Attempt: Try humming “Do–Re–Mi” unassisted

- Echo Instrumental: Tap back melody heard

- Pitch Puppet Game: Puppet “sings” tones to repeat

- Listening: Children’s Choir – Basic scale warmup

Week 14

- Tonal Memory Game: Listen to 2 tones, repeat after a pause

- Pitch & Emotion 2: Create “Happy” melodies on bells

- Vocal Walk Game: Walk forward/back with tone flow

- Listening: Soft jazz melody for pitch contrast

Week 15

- Scale Step Hop: Jump forward for Do–Re–Mi–Fa–Sol

- Solfège Family Song: Assign tones to family members in song

- Instrumental Recognition: Name bell after tone heard

- Listening: Classical piece with clear melodic lines

Week 16

- Review & Test: Full Do–Re–Mi–Fa–Sol–La–Ti–Do sing-along

- Favorite Tone Game: Identify the child’s preferred tone

- Simple Melody Replication: Sing 3-tone melody heard

- Listening: Favorite listening from semester
